1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RIVA ("the Platform"), visiting website domains ( riva.place), or installing native mobile applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must cease using the platform immediately.

2. Age Eligibility & Age-Gating Governance

RIVA is designed to foster healthy, authentic community connections. In compliance with data protection and minor safety regulations:

• Minimum Platform Age: You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account on RIVA. Accounts created by individuals under 13 are strictly prohibited.
• Age Verification (Date of Birth): To access or participate in restricted communities (including 18+ Adults Only communities and 21+ Mature communities), members must provide their verified Date of Birth.
• Protection of Minors: Users under the age of 18 are restricted from entering or viewing adult-governed spaces (such as nightlife, bars, or adult hobby clubs).

3. Place-Anchored Communities & Real-World Conduct

Communities on RIVA are anchored to real-world geographical coordinates, landmarks, parks, cafes, and cultural venues. Members agree to:

• Respect the physical places, venue rules, staff, and public laws of the locations they represent.
• Never organize, encourage, or facilitate unlawful gatherings, property damage, trespass, or vandalism.
• Never anchor fake, defamatory, or misleading community representations to real businesses or places.

4. User-Generated Content & Community Moderation

You retain ownership of any media, images, text, and videos you submit to RIVA. However, by posting, you grant RIVA a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, and stream your content.

• Author-Only Editing: Only the original author may edit the text or details of a post or comment.
• Community Governance: Community Creators and designated Moderators retain the authority to soft-delete disruptive content, manage membership admissions, and ban violators from their individual community spaces.
• Prohibited Content: Harassment, hate speech, non-consensual imagery, spam, illegal commerce, or content that promotes harm to individuals is strictly forbidden and subject to immediate account termination.
• Child Safety Standards & CSAE Zero-Tolerance: RIVA enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSAE). Any attempt to upload, store, promote, or transmit such content will result in immediate permanent account termination, IP-level blocking, preservation of evidence, and immediate reporting to law enforcement and child safety authorities. Users can immediately flag any suspected child safety violation using the in-app reporting tools or by directly contacting our safety team at support@riva.place.

5. Account Restriction, Suspension & Appeals

RIVA reserves the right to restrict or terminate accounts that violate platform standards or community safety. If your account has been restricted:

• Access to feeds, posting, liking, and messaging will be revoked.
• You have the right to file an appeal regarding the action by emailing our moderation and safety team at support@riva.place.

6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). Any disputes arising from or in connection with the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
